We’re making it easier… with our new Customer Center

The new link, in the orange box on our new home page, calls up a Customer Center box that allows our users around the world to access their account details and view their current statements. This brings us ever closer to our objective of a 1-page-website, where everything you need is available on the same page, without you having to navigate anywhere else.

This new customer center would give our users additional control over their services, and also access to their billing details. The portal allows our customers to also request new services.

We would greatly appreciate your feedback on the new website. Thanks!

I’M IN THE WILDERNESS

I’ve been on a programming break for over a week now. Alternative work makes that kind of withdrawal possible – especially when you’re NOT getting paid for the occupation you’re withdrawing from.

My passion for programming hasn’t dwindled in any sense. I still desire to build solutions to problems I encounter… right now though, most of the problems I’m encountering already have open-source project solutions out there.

I’m taking a break, to try and figure out what my project is going to be. The thing that I would build, that would not necessarily be a solution, but would be interesting. I think most of society has risen one level in Maslow’s hierarchy of INTERNET needs. Solutions exist for almost all problems online, so most folks are looking for interesting things, entertainment.

I’m apt for inspiration. Waiting to feel that. Looking forward to when I get an answer. Searching.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE CEO OF A START-UP DOESN’T MAKE IT TO TOMORROW?

It’s 7:04am. I’m up wrapped in a blanket, managing my blog… well, there isn’t very much to manage :)

I think this question is foremost on the minds of every entrepreneur – so to speak. Seems like such a loaded word for someone who simply isn’t satisfied with the situation of things, refuses to give up on the picture in his head, and wants to make some hay in the sun.

I enjoy my business. I enjoy working on packages that would get professional web hosting to Nigerian clients faster, and cheaper. I enjoy seeing the results of my work. Admittedly it’s taking forever for the thing to kick in, but it is clear that we’re headed somewhere. I think our impact can still be made.

Back on the subject, you can only do what you can. What you want to do is make sure you address the items on the following checklist:

  • Ensure that you have a CRM (client records management) system set up for your business. Something with a password accessible by a trustee
  • Have your business incorporated on at least 1 continent :) That seems like an unnecessary comment, but a lot of folks just register a business name, and have the whole thing spin around them. You want your organization to be as immortal as possible.
  • Run your finances the way they should be run. Complete with your second in command in the future. These pretty much cover the 3 areas of worries for you, if you intend to leave anything behind, let alone a legacy.

I don’t consider myself an expert in the field. I’m SO still learning. I still wake up on mornings in a cold sweat wondering if it would all end once I’m dead, and everyone would move on, considering how many web development companies there must be. But my advice to me, right now, is work hard, do what you do, and hope that when the whistle blows, you’d have done enough.

NDOKOBA.COM Customers: Logging into the CRM

The Official Blog Site for ndokoba.com

DSC00103This is a formal message welcoming all users of our website to also join our company blog.

I realized that as much as I desired to manage all the content that we need to keep up-to-date, I needed to source our company’s software solutions from the massive space of freeware products that can make all the difference in our leverage.

I’ve found at our disposal, a limitless reserve of solutions that are poised to improve the company’s direction and future. For all members of our Board, and online community, log into the company portal with your company-issued user access to keep track of our transactions and events.

We intend to change the way website design and development is done in Nigeria. We were working one code at a time. Now we’re leaping, one solution at a time.
